Takin It Down a Notch!

So lately I have been feeling like my blog
posts have been a little repetitive.
It seems like every Monday
I come in and blab about our fun weekend!
So I am going to try and take it down a notch.

So here's what's been going on......

* We had Mom's birthday last Friday. We decorated the house and had a cute little cake. The only damper on the day was that Zack wrecked his truck coming over!
Isn't she cute???

* My 21st Birthday!
I woke up to a birthday donut from Kenz :]

And when I got to work I found my
office all decorated!
Amy and the boys went all out...
They are so sweet!

We had softball on my birthday,
so we couldn't really go anywhere too fun.
But when we got home
Mom made us dinner and I got some presents.
It was a nice day
and I am thankful to everyone who told
me Happy Birthday and to those
who went out of their way to make it special!

Other than the birthdays,
we have just been doing the same old stuff!
Working hard during the week
and playing hard during the weekend.
This last weekend we went to dinner
and a movie up north on Friday night,
then played softball in Moroni
all day Saturday!
Yesterday we cleaned our house hard core...
Then had Richard and Chelsie over for dinner
and a movie night.
They stayed until about 1:30 this morning!
It was super fun until I had to wake up for
work at 5:30 this morning :/

We have played LOTS of softball this summer.
We play in 3 different leagues
and do tournaments about 2 weekends out
of each month.
It has been fun,
and I am getting better at playing!

We are still working on the house thing,
but it should happen within this next month.
We are just loving the weather and
the time we get to spend together!!

Awarded!

Thanks Jen!!!

My cute cousin Jen gave me this
blog award!!

It is nice to know that people
actually read your blog!
Haha

:]

The rules of this award are..

1- Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to them.
2- Tell us something about yourself.
3- Nominate 5 other bloggers
4- Let them know you awarded them.

*** So, something about myself.
If you read my blog you probably already know
WAY more than you want to! Haha.
I blog because I suck at journaling.
And I know one day I will be thankful to
be able to look at this and be reminded of all the
things we did as newlyweds.

*** The 5 people I want to nominate are....

* My Momma! Her blog is awesome and she is
an awesome person! And it's her birthday today :]

* Liz and The Modern Neverland~
I am constantly inspired by how good of a wife
Liz is. She is always putting pictures up of another
new healthy meal she made for her hubby.

* Teisha Lee... I feel like this is the only way
I can keep up with this girl. I never see you Teish!

* Amanda-
I miss you girl!
Thanks for always updating your blog
so I can see what is going on in your life.

* Hannie....
A member of The 3 Amigos!
I love and miss you everyday!

Thanks again for the tag Jennie...
I am so excited for you that you will get
your hubby back soon.
I can't imagine how hard it would be to
go so long without him.
You are such a strong person...
And I hope you guys know that we appreciate
Mike and all the soldiers
fighting for us.
Hang in there girl!

House

In all the hustle and bustle of my life lately,

I haven't had two seconds to sit down and blog!

We are making an offer on a house today!!

It is an OLD house in Moroni,

but it is seriously the cutest thing ever.

It has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms

and 3 levels!

We are including about $15,000 in the loan

to remodel it

cuz a lot of the stuff is really outdated!

( Poop green carpet! )

We are really hoping that they will accept our offer.

I am nervous to get my hopes up

because I don't want to get all excited then have it not work out.

But I have a really good feeling about it.

We are preapproved for the loan,

but we are offering less than they are asking for it.

So we are just hoping that they will accept

the amount we are offering,

and we will be homeowners!

*****

This would be really cool for us

because we have a list of things we want

to do before we start a little family.

And buying a house was the BIG ONE.

So if we get this,

our vehicles will both be payed off by next year,

and then we just have a few places

we need to see before we can start

making babies!

I will keep you posted on what happens!

BASKET CASE

If you have seen me in the last two weeks,
you know that I have been a

COMPLETE. BASKET. CASE.

I have had so much going on

and stress just totally took over my life.

The main source of the stress has been work.

Last week was our parent seminar,

where all the boys' parents travel

from all over the world

to come to Oxbow and learn about the program

and spend a few days with their boys.

We have these seminars 3 times a year.

This was the first one that I have planned

all by myself.

My lovely coworker and friend Erin

decided to vacation in Mexico

the WHOLE week before the seminar.

SO I was left to do my job,

plan the seminar,

and do Erin's job all in one week.

I honestly did not have enough hours in the day

to get everything done.

* With working at the AC almost every morning,

* then trying to keep Oxbow running,

I was a little stress case!

* My house was a disaster area

* and I was having some weird things

happening with my body...

* But I didn't have TIME to go to the doctor.

* Meanwhile, we have been trying to

get all the paperwork done to buy a house in Moroni,

so I had a few meetings with our realtor and loan officer.

* We also had softball games two night out of the week.

I felt like I was never in one place

for more than a few minutes

before I was running around to get on to something else.

I just had things stressing me out

in every aspect of my life.

I was so happy when last Thursday night finally came

and the parent seminar was over.

Friday morning everything caught up to me

and I had a BREAKDOWN.

I just started bawling.

I don't think my poor husband even

knew what to do with me

because I just totally lost it.

So after work,

he drove me clear up to Salt Lake

to get a massage.

I couldn't get an appointment until 8 that night.

So we literally drove up there

just for my massage

then came back home.

It was SO worth it.

The massage itself was amazing.

And just to have a few hours in the car

to talk to my husband without my phone

ringing off the hook....

I needed it.

The next morning,

we went to Price again for a mens softball tournament.

My cute friend Casey came with us

and I am so glad she did.

We had such a fun and adventurous day!

We spent all day soaking up the sun and

laughing our heads off.

On Saturday night,

we just came home and chilled.

We watched movies and snuggled up on the couch.

It was so perfect

On Sunday,

we woke up and finally took some time

to recover our house from the week from hell!

Kenz fixed my sink that had broken,

and we probably did 6 loads of laundry cuz we were so behind!

On Sunday afternoon we went and hit.

Kenz had a little Christmas in June moment last week

when his new bat got here.

The 2012 Miken Freak....

Spoiled.

We have been on a tennis kick lately.

We have been going over to the court every Sunday night.

We take our iHome and play some music

and play tennis until the lights turn off at the court.

It is so much fun and we are getting better every week :]

Now, it's Monday.

And I am already feeling so much better about life.

Erin is back,

the seminar is over,

I am feeling better,

so I think the stuff with my body was just from stress.

We have co-ed softball tonight,

and Ty is coming over to watch

the Bachelorette.

I am glad that I survived my two weeks

from hell.

And I know I couldn't have done it

without:

* My hubster

* My momma

* My mother in law

* Casey

* XYNG

and

* Pepsi
