I would say this weekend might have been the best one of the year so far. The weather was so nice and we totally took advantage! I already posted about our midnight movie on Thursday, which was a great way to start our weekend. On Friday, we took off after work and headed to the golf course. Kenzie is a golf fanatic and as soon as the weather gets nice, I lose a lot of time with him to Jim and the golf course! My dad and Kenzie golfed nine holes so I decided to ride in the cart and take some pictures! We went to dinner at the Salt Creek Sports Lounge and of course we had to do a few songs for karaoke night over there!
Saturday morning we wanted to do something outside because the weather was so nice. We tossed up a few ideas and finally decided to go get Mike and Amy's bikes and go for a long bike ride. We rode them out to Chester and back and it was so stinkin fun! It was quite a workout and we even got some sun on our arms and faces. We decided we are going to start going for a ride every night together.
Saturday night we went on a date with Taylon and Ashlee. We went up to Jordan Landing and watched The Hunger Games then had some dinner. Kenzie liked the movie a lot and it was mostly just nice to spend an evening with our good friends. They are some of the sweetest people I know and I'm pretty sure they would do anything for you if you needed it. I'm glad we finally set a weekend aside to go on a date night!
Sunday we got our house cleaned. We put some homemade chicken noodle soup in the crock pot and let it cook for a few hours. We went on another bike ride and we went over to see Dane and Alexa's puppies.
Can you believe how precious they are?! On Friday we can take one home, but we are having the hardest time deciding which one we want. We originally wanted a chocolate lab, but the one on the far right is super fat and has the cutest personality so we are not sure which one we will be taking. They are so fun!
We got home and ate our soup, snuggled up and watched some Prison Break (of course) until we were ready for bed. It was just one of those weekends where we thought of something we wanted to do and did it! It was so nice to have some sunshine and I am so looking forward to this spring and summer. I love the time I get to spend with my husband. I don't see him much during the week, but we definitely make up for it on the weekends.
Now it's back to work and we are on a diet this week :( We have just enough left over product to do Ignite for 5 days. So we are hitting it hard and we are planning to bike a lot of miles this week and try to get bikini ready! I am also dancing in the alumni drill team dance tonight at Showcase. I'm not looking forward to having the whole town watch us shake it, but most of my best memories from high school came from drill team so I feel like I owe it to Lisa and Marci to do it. So if you feel like watching a bunch of us "old ladies" dance, come on out and make fun of us!
Wow, that was a pretty long post! I guess you can go on with your day now :)
