July 19th

Mackenzie got ordained

an elder by his uncle Waylon.

This is one of the last huge steps

to prepare for our marriage in

the temple. Mackenzie is such an
awesome person, and I am so

proud of him for the decision he made

to receive the priesthood.

4th of July

4th of July

Well, Zack and Ty ditched us for the 4th

and went up to Grantsville with our cousins.
So Mom, Dad, Mack and I spent

the 4th here in town together.
We played in the volleyball tournament.

Got killed.

Mack and dad played in the dodgeball tournament.

Got killed.

Got some yard work done for the wedding.

Went golfing.
Went to watch fireworks..

.. which got cancelled.
Haha it sounds like kind of a bummer day,

but we actually ended up having

a really fun day spending time together.

July 13th
Amy and the fam threw a
bridal shower for the people who lived
down Sanpete way.

It was a camping theme since Mack and I

love to camp and need camping stuff
We played some fun games and ate camping
food (hot dogs, salads, chips...)

Kenz and I got some awesome presents and it was

such a fun day. Thanks so much to Amy and
those who helped put this together for me.
Also, for those of you who took the time to come

and be there. You guys are the best!

Christmas Eve 2008

All week me and Mack had been fighting

about where we would be on Christmas Eve.

He wanted us to be with his family and of

I wanted us to be with mine.

We wanted to be together on Christmas Eve,

but we could NOT come to a compromise.

Finally, in frustration, I told him I guess we

weren't going to be together on Christmas Eve because

my family has major Christmas Eve traditions.

So that was that.

Well, of course, Mack wouldn't have that, so that night he

surprised me at my house. He said he wanted to go for a little

ride because he had one last present for me.

SWEET! I got right in the car.

We started heading through the canyon! (toward Moroni)

I started telling him it was not funny and

that he better take me home right now.

He was giggling the whole time telling me he kidnapped me

and I was going to be with his family tonight.

He took a turn up a farmiliar road.

We went to the place where us and my parents had done a fire the night

before I moved to college. He told me to get out of the truck because

he was going to sit with me and look at the pretty

snow covered mountains on Christmas Eve.

How can a girl resist an offer like that??

It was a beautiful moment.

WELL, you can imagine my astonishment

when I looked at Kenzie

and saw him down on one knee!!

So, of course I said yes, and we raced back to

Nephi to share the news!

We will be getting married on August 7th.

I know it will always be that way.

Mack's hilarious personality is what made me

start falling in love with him, but when I started

getting to know the amazing person he was..

One of our favorite things to do is to go on

long 4 wheeler rides. On one of our long

rides, he made me pose by this fence post.

This was the night before I moved to college.

Me, Kenz, Mom and Dad went up Nephi Canyon
and had a fire. It was a really fun night.
