MOVING DAY

I got some pictures I haven't blogged yet!
Two weeks ago,
we had our Ephraim Coed Tournament.
It was fun and we played well,
but we didn't win it :(

My catching skills

My momma got a few action shots!

MOVING DAY
Ugh I hate moving.
It is such a pain in the butt.
We have been putting it off all week,
but finally on Wednesday night we just
buckled down and got everything moved over.
We owe Richard and Chels dinner
cuz they helped us out so much!
Kenzie and Rich are so strong!
They would just throw the heavy stuff
around like it was nothing!
My mom was shocked when Richard just picked up the
couch by himself and started moving it!
Now we are living in God's country again,
and I am so happy to be back in Moroni.
We just sit on our back patio and watch
Hemi run around 100000000 miles an hour!
I think this is just such an awesome little community
and I feel more welcome here than I ever did in Nephi.
It is nice to have so many good friends
and to have people to visit with everywhere we go.

We love our new place,
and especially our new 1/2 acre yard!
Kenz is like obsessed with the watering of the lawn.
And Hemi just loves running as fast as she can all over.
And I just like sitting in my chair and watching
the sun set and my cute little family playin in the yard.

We are SO happy to be moving
on to this exciting part of our lives.
And now, we start the remodel .....................

Good Stuff

Can you believe we are more than
halfway through July?
This year is just flying by!
One of my favorite weekends has come and gone...
Ute Stampede / Lamb Days.

I started my weekend by going to the
new Harry Potter movie with my mama on Friday after work.
I pretty much had to bribe her to go with me
cuz NO ONE wanted to go see it with me!
But I am a dork
and I love Harry Potter.
And I thought it was awesome!

After the movie,
me and Case went to Lamb Days
to watch the boys play softball.
The tournament was on
Friday night and Saturday morning.
But I had to work at the AC
for a few hours on Saturday,
So I only got to watch Friday.
Kenzie's team ended up taking 3rd.
And they had a few extra shirts so I got one...
Bonus!

On Saturday night,
we went to the Stampede with
Joe and Brittany.
It was fun!
Britt was the first Sanpete girl
I met when I graduated
and started spending ALL my time in Moroni.
We got in the same apartment at Snow
and we had some good times!
But we had to grow up and get busy
and we kinda went our separate ways for a couple years.
So I am very happy that she is now engaged to
one of our best friends
and our new house is just up the block from her and Joe!
We have some good times ahead!

On Sunday
we had a chill day at the house
and went and played some tennis
in the evening...
I won 2 out of the 3 games
(Thank you very much :))

Poor girl had to stay in her kennel for a while....

Lol this picture just proves that tennis
really can be a workout!

Last week Kenz got the opportunity to start doing
four tens at work.... Graveyards!
It sounds miserable,
but it is actually pretty nice because now he is
home every day, evening, and weekend.
He just works from 11pm-9am
Sunday thru Wednesday nights.
Of course now that his schedule is so open
he already went and got another job
at Lighthouse Academy!
I told him to just enjoy some free time for a while,
but he saw the chance to double his paycheck
and couldn't resist!
I guess I won't complain....
I can't say I mind extra spending money!
I have to say,
it is hard to get out of bed right after he
comes home from work and crawls under the covers
and gets the bed all cozy at 7am!
I had to take this picture of him this morning...
There is something about a sleeping man
that is just irresistible!

Here's me....
Ready for another glorious week of work!

* On the bright side.... It is the hometown dates on
the Bachelorette tonight!

Life is good!

I am a pretty happy girl right now.
I just feel so content and happy
with my life lately.
It is very refreshing!
Some of the things that I know are giving me
this positive attitude are:

#1 - OUR NEW HOUSE :]
Yes, it looks light yellow.
It also has carpet in the kitchen
and a baby purple bathroom.
OBVIOUSLY,
we will be doing some remodeling.
Which makes me absolutely more
excited than ever!
I am so excited to make this place our own
and to finally OWN our own house!
We are getting the keys on Wednesday.
I spend a great majority of my days
at work looking at decorating and remodeling blogs.
I am stoked!
It feels so great to be taking this
big step in our lives.
I am so proud of the things
we have accomplished so far in our marriage.
And I am so happy that we will
own a house and have both of our
vehicles paid off before we even
START our family.

#2 - Do Terra Essential Oils
and my little version of integrative medicine!
I have this amazing friend from California
named Cynthia.
She is a member of the Self Realization Fellowship church
which is based on beliefs from a guru in India.
SO interesting!
She has inspired me to be more open
to a lot of things in my life.
She's way into herbs and essential oils.
So when our friend Richard told us he was starting
to sell Do Terra Oils,
I was super excited!
We went to a meeting at his house last night
to learn all about them.
They are awesome,
and I LOVE using them.
She also meditates.
Random, I know.
But she encouraged me to try it,
not necessarily for religious purposes,
but for self relaxation.
I thought it was a little off the wall,
but when my monthly COSMO magazine
had an article about meditating,
I decided to give it a try.
So I found myself a Pandora radio station
that plays calm meditation music
and I have been spending about 15 minutes
every morning just sitting in my quiet
bedroom listening to it
and trying to clear my mind.
You would be surprised at how good
this makes you feel!
I am hooked on my new essential oils
and my little morning, stress relieving ritual!

#3 - Our new friends, Richard and Chels.
We have lots of friends,
and we love them.
But we have had so much fun with
Richard and Chels lately.
It is SO nice to have married friends,
who want to do the same things as us.
We will just call each other and say
Hey let's go hiking!
And we will all just drop everything and go.
I have been pretty baby hungry lately.
But having friends who will go do
crazy fun stuff with us at a moments notice
has cured me.
I could NOT do these things if I had a baby.
I am SO looking forward to when we will have one.
But I don't think we are quite ready
to give up all our fun nights and weekends!
Which brings me to number 4.....

#4 - Our cruise!
Next time we get paid we are booking
our 4 night October cruise to Mexico
with Richard and Chels!
Needless to say,
we are pumped for this.

#5 - Having health insurance!
We got our insurance cards...
I can finally go in and get my eyes
checked and get new glasses and contacts.
This is huge for me.
My eyes cause me so much trouble!
It will be so nice to know that if
we get hurt we can go to the doctor!

#6 - Having my Momma with me...
I am such a momma's girl.
We are always busy and if I don't
see my mom for a couple days in a row
I get so sad!
Kenzie makes fun of me so bad
cuz I see her more than most people
get to see their moms and I still get all upset
when a few days go by and I don't see her.
It has been like a dream come true to have
my mom with me everyday.

#7 - Being Married to my very bestie :]
Gosh I just love Mackenzie.
I can't even tell ya.
He is such a sweetheart.
The other day we were thinking back on
how different our first year of marriage
was from our second year.
We spent the first year of marriage fighting!
Haha, like always.
But the last 8 months or so have been
absolutely awesome.
I think we have just matured a lot
and we now realize how to talk out problems
without trying to kill each other!
I can't even believe we are a couple
weeks away from our 2 year anniversary.
The time is going by TOO FAST!

{ SO ANYWAY }
There is my spill.
As I was driving to work today,
I just realized how happy and content
I feel with my life right now,
and it is such a good feeling!

Happy Monday :]

A Little Taste of Everything

We switched things up this year for the 4th!
We usually go out to Grantsville,
and it is always a blast.
But this year we decided to spend the weekend
with our good friends,
Richard and Chelsea~
On Saturday morning,
me and Chels hit up all the yard sales in
Ephraim and Manti.
We are dorks,
and love to get old furniture and refinish it.
Then we went and got our boys
and went to Palisades.
We jumped off these big rocks into the lake.
It was super fun!
When we left,
we went to the AC and swam some more
since we were already soaked!

Later,
we went over to Mike and Amy's
for a barbecue with the crew.
We had TOO MUCH fun
and the food was amazing!!
The kids lit some fireworks and it was
just a really fun evening.

The next morning,
we woke up and headed up to Provo with Rich and Chels.
We went hiking up Sundance
and it was AMAZING!!!!
It was a workout!
There was still quite a bit of snow in some areas.
There was one part where we were walking
on the snow and we saw a hole in the snow....
And when we looked through it there was
SO MUCH water running down the mountain
and FAST!
It was super scary....
It we would've fell through the snow we would've died.
After that we stayed closer to the trail!

This first picture is our friend
sitting up on a snow bank....
Look at that waterfall!!!

Tracy and Nate

After our viscous hike,
we hit up Olive Garden
then went back into Provo to save our seats
for the parade the next morning.
Apparently in Provo
people camp out all night to save spots
for the parade.
So we set up a couple of those
gazebo tent things
and a table and chairs....
and we brought a little tv
with the nintendo and movies,
games, good food, and lots
of pillows and blankets
and sat there all night!
It was fun
and there were people
ALL OVER THE STREETS!

Me and Chels convinced our hubbys
to give us a foot massage :]

The parade was fun...
But we decided it wasn't worth all the effort
everyone put into it!
Our parades down here in the sticks
are just as good!!!

By Monday after the parade,
we were ready to be home!
We had fun,
but I am a family girl.
And I missed my mama and my in-laws!
So we came home.
I had to work at the AC for a couple hours.
Then we hit up the
Moroni Fireworks.
It was really nice to be with family
and back home in our little small town.
I could NEVER be a city girl.
I love having the whole town
sitting out on the baseball field...
A local band playing some tunes...
Watching the little ones run around....
and everyone just wandering around and visiting.

So, needless to say,
the weekend was AMAZING!
We got some friend time,
some family time,
some alone time,
time in the mountains,
time on the lake,
time on the baseball field,
It was perfect.
