Long Week

Oh my goodness, this last week has been a long one. If you ever get sick of your husband, just send him away for a few days! Haha, I'm just kidding (kind of).  My honey left me from Tuesday until Saturday night to go to Lake Powell with his friends. I could've gone, but it is so hot down there and with my sick, pregnant self I just didn't think I would be much fun. So I stayed home, and I actually got a lot done around my house. I painted my front door black! I am working on a cute wreath then I will post some pictures. I got lots of crafts done and lots of cleaning done, which was nice. I also made a cute candy bar sign for Mackenzie for when he got home. Holy cow, I missed him a lot! By Saturday night I was SO ready to have him home. Yesterday flew by. We went to a missionary farewell, and it was actually really nice to go to church together. Now it is already Monday, and I feel like I haven't got near enough time in with my love. We have our anniversary weekend planned for next weekend in Park City, but I need a little getaway with him so bad that I tried to move our reservations to this weekend, just a few days before our anniversary. Not happening. This weekend is all booked up, so we have to wait until a week from Friday, but I am so excited. I can't believe it has already been a year since our last anniversary! The time is really flying lately. You would think this year would be going by slow since I have spent most of it being pregnant, but it is actually going by pretty fast. I just hope it keeps going this way. I am so anxious to have my baby here. Well, this post was pretty random, but that's what's going on with us. I'll keep ya posted if anything more exciting happens!

PS: If you know any ladies looking for a full time job, let me know. I am hiring two secretaries this week to work with me. It is a great job with full benefits, and I want somebody good!

FALL

Is anyone else totally ready for fall and winter?
I am so over this summer thing. All I want to do today is decorate my house for fall and put some pumpkin spice in the scentsy! Let's just skip August and go right to Halloween, Thanksgiving and then winter!

Anatomy Scan

Yesterday I had my anatomy scan. I can't believe I am a week away from the halfway mark. While pregnancy has definitely been hard, it is actually going by pretty fast. Kenzie couldn't get off work, so my mom got to go with and see the cutest baby in the world! I was very relieved to find out that our little boy is still a BOY! In fact, it was even more clear this time than last time. He is the funniest little guy. He never holds still! And he loves putting his arms up behind his head. It was the best hour ever laying there watching him play and move around. I just can't wait until I can hold him and play with those cute little baby feet.

I also didn't have time last week to post my weekly thing, so here it is. The 19 week one will be up soon!

18 Weeks
This week, Baby is the size of a: sweet potato
Total weight gain/loss: down 6 lbs
Sleep: Lately I have had a hard time falling asleep and a really hard time waking up in the morning! I am late for work a lot because I have such a hard time getting up and going, and when I finally do I usually spend a fair amount of time throwing up before I can even eat breakfast!
Best moment this week: Feeling him kick for the first time!
Movement: I felt definite kicks this week. Sometimes it is hard to tell if that’s what’s happening, but this week there was no mistaking, he was definitely kicking!
Symptoms: sick, sick, sick! He hates food, but he also hates being hungry! I can’t win!
Food cravings: Big pink sugar cookies, Swedish fish
Food aversions: still water
 Gender: BOY
Labor Signs: none
Belly Button in or out? In, but it is changing and it is weird!
What I miss:  Being a morning person
What I am looking forward to: anatomy scan in three days. We are REALLY hoping our little boy is still a BOY!
Feeling toward Pregnancy: What a great week I have had feeling my baby moving around inside me. It is unreal! It sometimes still feels like this can’t really be happening to me Like maybe I’m watching someone else be pregnant. It’s hard to explain really. I am starting to really love being pregnant. Each week I feel like I get to know my baby more and more. It is a wonderful bond that forms from the very beginning!

Ute Stampede Weekend

The Ute Stampede has come and gone, and this year was as fun as ever. I don't ever remember the Stampede being rainy, but there is a first for everything! On Friday after work we headed over to Nephi to watch the big parade. It got close to the end before it started pouring. Luckily the rain let up in time for the rodeo and we were able to see the flag. We went on Friday night to watch Ben ride and he did well, but had a chance to re-ride and then didn't stay on :( After the rodeo Kenzie won me a $20 stuffed animal at the rip off carnival. He's such a sweetie.

On Saturday we went over in the afternoon and checked out the craft fair, went to a barbecue at my dad's, then went to the rodeo with a whole crew of our friends and family. About halfway through the rodeo the rain really started coming down. We tried to tough it out, but it started POURING. Everyone hid under the bleachers for a while, then we finally decided to just brave it and run for the car. The car was NOT close and I was wearing heels so Kenzie put me on his back and ran the whole way! By the time we got to the car we were completely soaked. I looked like a wet dog and had make up running down my face! It was so funny. My husband seriously rocks for carrying me the whole way. Who does that?!

I would say the moral of this story is be careful what you wish for!! We have been praying for rain for the last couple months because of the extreme fire danger in our state, and now we are getting flash flood warnings!! The irony. All in all, the Stampede was as fun as ever and I am always a little sad to know we have to wait a whole year for these festivities again. On the bright side... Lamb Days this weekend! Summer is so much fun!

17 Weeks

17 Weeks

This week baby is the size of a: Onion
Total weight gain/loss: Down 6 lbs
Sleep: About the same. I think the heat is making it even worse. It is SO hot this year.
Best moment this week: Seeing and feeling the baby more
Movement: I don't think I have felt him kick yet, but I can definitely feel when he moves from one side of my belly to the other. Although he spends most of his time as far to the left of my belly as he can!
Symptoms: Still just sick all the time
Food Cravings: Diet Coke with Lime
Food Aversions: Water
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: None
Belly button in or out?: In
What I miss: Just being able to do anything I wanted without this constant sickness. Sometimes I think back to things we did before I got pregnant and think WOW I would not have fun doing that now because I am so sick!!
What I am looking forward to: Anatomy scan, a week from Monday
Feeling toward pregnancy: I have had a lot of fun this week watching my belly pop out. I am starting to look pregnant. Every morning when I wake up I can see where the baby is so clearly. I think it is easier for me to see in the morning because my bladder is full and I'm not bloated at all from eating anything. Each morning I spend about ten minutes just laying there and poking my belly and trying to feel my little guy move!

Looking pregnant!!!

Diet Coke with Lime

Yesterday I needed a drink and this was all I could find at work. I KNOW it's the pregnancy talking, but it was seriously the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. Who woulda thought? And it only has 45mg of caffeine and zero calories! Yes, I stopped and got one this morning. I think I have a new addiction.

Stupid Monday!

Is this Monday totally dragging for anyone else?! I don't think I am going to make it another hour. So I decided to rant for a minute about random stuff and try and kill some time.

We had another fun weekend. On Friday night I went up north with my mom and had a girls night. It was much needed! Then I came home and we had some friends over for a while. Saturday was spent working on our house and hitting up some yard sales. Then Saturday night we went to Matt and Kasia's and watched a movie. I came home early because I was sick (like always) and really tired. Then yesterday we did a little more work on the house and watched the Yankees game. I am stressing about getting our house ready for the baby to get here. I get so tired that I feel like I can't get much done at a time and there is a lot that I want to do before I have him. Hopefully we can get everything done in time!

Tonight is the home run derby and tomorrow is the all star game! For baseball fans, this is a great week. I love the all star break, and I especially love that it means we start the post season soon. Our Yankees are on fire this year! Tonight is a good night because it is also the Bachelorette, my guilty pleasure.

This weekend is the Ute Stampede! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Ute Stampede is a big deal for those of us from Nephi and it is a weekend where everybody comes home and joins in the festivities. Nothing beats being at the rodeo, eating a hamburger, and watching the American flag fall into the arena from the sky. Good times!

This week I am feeling really impatient about being pregnant. It took me a while to get used to the idea of having a baby, but now that I am excited, I am finding it hard to stop thinking about it. I just want to hold my baby. I am not even to the halfway mark yet, and I am just so anxious. The first half of pregnancy has gone by pretty fast, so I am hoping the second half goes by faster!

Well hey, I killed a half an hour! So now I guess I can start getting ready to go home. I hope you all had a fantastic Monday. I think the weekends are so much fun in the summer that it makes the weeks drag on!

16 Weeks

Okay, so that font was getting annoying and hard to read. Hopefully this looks a little better! Oh and PS, just to clarify... The weight I am losing isn't every week! It's a running total. Kenzie said people probably think I am dropping ten pounds every week but it's how much I've gained/lost total since finding out I am pregnant.

16 Weeks
This week, Baby is the size of a: Avocado

Movement: I didn’t feel much movement this week, but we definitely saw him moving around a lot on the ultrasound.
Symptoms: Still sick all the time!

Independence Day

I cannot believe the 4th of July has come and gone. My honey had to work yesterday :( So on Tuesday night I went up to Grantsville with my mom and Ken. When we got up there we went to Parkers Park and lit up a bunch of fireworks then went home and me and the girls painted our nails for the fourth. At midnight me, Ky, and Zack went to McDonalds for breakfast :) The next morning we got up and watched the parade. It was SO HOT. It was kinda hard to have fun because of the heat. Hence the picture of me trying to find some relief under the umbrella. Of course, I didn't take pictures AGAIN because I'm a failure. Luckily my mom was there. She never fails to get pictures of everything. Here are some of the ones she took:

We headed home in the afternoon because Kenz got off at 3. When he got off, we met Matt, Kasia, Kam, Kaden, and Tyler at Cavaliers for pizza then went to the Mt. Pleasant rodeo. We could only stay for about half of it because Kenzie had to go back to work at 10, but it was still fun to get out and do something together for a few hours. I was bummed to miss fireworks, but life goes on. As I layed in bed last night I couldn't help thinking about the first 4th of July me and Kenz spent together. We hadn't been dating too long, but were already so in love. I get nostalgic sometimes, but we have come such a long way since then and I am thankful for every single holiday I have spent with my husband since then. He is my happy place! I can't believe next time we celebrate the 4th of July we will have a little one to dress up and show off! I hope you all had a fabulous holiday. I am sad it's over, but I was happy to see rain today!! Maybe we can catch a little break from this extreme heat. I'm roasting!!

Our Little GUY!

Yesterday was such a fun day for us. We had a doctors appointment, and my doctor is SO sweet and let us see the baby again even though my 20 week ultrasound is scheduled for the 23rd of this month. I was so anxious, hoping that we would be able to see what we were having. Well he definitely let us see everything!! And it looks like we are getting a little BOY! During most of the ultrasound, our little guy had both of his arms behind his head, just chillin. It was so funny. I love how we can already see his little personality just from watching him move around on ultrasounds. I was so glad Kenz was with me yesterday. I don't remember ever seeing him grin like that.. and he didn't stop smiling all day. I was completely shocked. I have been telling everyone how sure I am that it was a girl. But the little stinker tricked me, and I couldn't be happier to be having a little guy. His heart rate was 146 yesterday, lower than it's ever been. The pictures we got are so clear, and it made my day to see his little fingers and toes. And the best part.. in 3 short weeks we get even more pictures! Days like yesterday make every hard day worth it. I already love my baby so much, and I can honestly say I am excited to be a mom now.
