Day 12- How You Found Out About Blogger and Why You Have One

I first learned about Blogger from my mama.
I got one, but never updated it.
Then when we got married, we both deleted our Myspaces
because they were just too much drama.
But I missed how you could make your Myspace your own.
So I started doing Blogger.
And I love it.
Its like my therapy.
And I love seeing how my family and friends are doing
through their Blogs.

Hemi ♥

Our Little Puppy
Oh my gosh, we love the crap out of our puppy.
She's not a puppy anymore though :[
She's still small,
but she's had a rough month.
She went into heat for the first time at the start of the month :[
She acted sick and sad
so we were going to go take her in to see what was wrong
but then we found out what was going on.
Poor little girl :[
Then last week I was outside and I heard her inside
crying and yelping.
So I ran inside and, I don't know how,
but she somehow sprained her arm.
So she's been limping all week.
And whining whenever she puts weight on it.
She's finally starting to walk on it again.
I feel so bad for her.
She's had a rough one.

She brings us so much happiness.
She is so funny.
Always running around as fast as she can,
attacking us when we get home,
and cuddling with us a bedtime.
I can't imagine our life without this little girl!!!

Day 9- Something You're Proud of in The Past Few Days

#1- Our part of the house has been clean
and laundry caught up since we moved in!
I have my husband to thank for most of this.
#2- I taught the First Aid Merit Badge
again this year for the boy scouts pow wow.
It is cool to be asked every year to do this
when so many people in town can teach first aid.
Last night was the last night for this year,
and every boy in my class got their merit badge!
#3- Found out I won MVP for my Nephi Womens Volleyball team.
Won a new pair of knee pads :]
#4- Haven't fought with Kenz for like a month!
Fighting has always been our favorite hobby :]
We fight about little things, big things, silly things, serious things, DuMb things, etc....
We tease, yell, wrestle, storm out of the room, etc.
Haha.. I shouldn't laugh. But to us.. that's how it's always been.
We fight like brother and sister... like cats and dogs.
But we never stay mad.
We never to go bed fighting.
We love each other.
And we fight because we're alike
and we're
passionate.

Feelings and Emotions

Have you ever seen the movie Fireproof?
Well, the boys at work watched it a few weeks ago,
and I decided to do
The Love Dare.
I am exactly half way through it.
It has changed my marriage.
After I finish this 30 Day Experiment thing
I am going to post the Love Dare on my blog.
It is the most amazing thing I have ever done.
I thought today's Love Dare was extra striking.
It can be related to any relationship in your life.
So I thougth I'd share just a few parts from today's dare:
Do not follow your heart... Lead it.
Don’t let your feelings and emotions do the driving.
Put them in the back seat and tell them where you’re going.
You don’t always feel like loving.
However, there is something just as
powerful
as that fresh, new love.
It comes from the decision to love someone
no matter what.
In other words, love that chooses to love is just as powerful as
love that feels like loving.
In many ways, it’s a truer love
because it has its eyes wide open.
I love this.
It is true.
Sometimes I am onry and tired
and I don't feel like loving.
And I think I've always thought that if that was how I was
feeling
that's not my fault.
But it is a
choice.
And when I choose to be a loving person,
I find that it's not so hard to love the person I'm with!
Actually..
It's pretty dang easy.

Day 8- Short Term Goals For This Month and Why

Well, the month is more than halfway over.
Our main goal this month was to be 100% debt free.
Within the next couple weeks we will be totally caught up on
all our bills.

It is such a relief.
I am so much more relaxed now that money isn't so tight.
I miss my apartment in Nephi.
A LOT.
But it is definitely a great feeling to not be always
worrying about what's due when
and how we're going to pay for it.

A Sight to See :]

Since Kenzie has been working some nights lately,
he has had quite a few days off.
When I came home from work the other day
this is how I found him.
Folding my laundry!
He is so awesome.
I am thankful for all he does for me.
He makes my life easier and more enjoyable :]
Love you Quincy!!

Joe's B-Day!!!

When we started working at Oxbow we made a new friend :]
Joe Davis is our most favorite kid ever.
He lives all alone in a cute little house in Moroni,
and since we are still livin with the in-laws,
we go chill at Joe's
all the time.
Friday was his birthday.
He had to go get his kids on Friday,
so we went over at 11:30 on Thursday night
and took him a cake and a gift card.
Happy Birthday Joe!!

Day 7- A Picture of Someone/Something That Has The Biggest Impact On You

Hmmm....
Things that have had the biggest impact on me.
Obviously my family is at the top of the list.

Dance
Ever since I was a little girl, I have always had this passion for dancing.
I love expressing myself with music.
I miss perfoming more than anything in the world.
I am so jealous of my drill team girls because they still get to
have this be such a big part of their lives.

The Temple
Made a way for me and my family to be together forever.
I love the answers I can get when I pray in the temple.

My Man
Has made me who I am.
I love him more than anyone else in the world.
He has had such an impact on my life in so many ways.
He has been through a lot in his life,
but he has always held on to who he is,
and he is one of the best people I know.

No Freaking Way.

So, pretty sure last night was the scariest night of my life.
Most of you probably know, we are currently residing with the in laws.
So, I'm just chillin in our room, watching Despicable Me
when my mother in law comes busting in the door.
"OH MY GOSH, Did you just hear my freak out?!?"

Well
long story short,
there was a

sNaKe

in her room!
The same house I am living in!!!
I am 100% paranoid now.
I seriously do not want to live here anymore.

Day 6- Favorite Super Hero and Why

I have lots of superheroes in my life.
I have the greatest parents on this earth.
They have given me the best life a kid could ask for.
I have some awesome friends who are great examples to me.
I work at a place where our main purpose is to help struggling youth
create a better life for themselves.

I work with some awesome people on the ambulance who save lives on a daily basis.

Their dedication is amazing.

My Mackenzie J. Brown

He is my superhero because he always helps me when I need anything.

He knows me better than anyone else in the world.

He would drop everything to come help me if I needed it.

Marriage isn't easy.

But I am so thankful for the moments I have with

Mackenzie

that make it so worth the hard work it is

to have a successful relationship.

My Baby Brothers

Are superheroes to me because I know if I needed anything

they would be there in a heartbeat.
They are just awesome people. So caring and kind.

I am so thankful to have been raised in a house where kindness matters.

As I have grown up and been out on my own,

I have seen how not all families are like mine.

I have been in homes where people talk to each other in ways

that are hurtful and degrading.

My family and I have had our share of fights,

but we didn't say things to each other just for the purpose of hurting each other.

And if we ever said anything disrespectul we would always apologize.

I am thankful for the people in my life who treat me with respect

and make me feel like I am special to them.
But my #1 Superhero is this guy:

Day 5- A Picture of Somewhere You've Been To

I have been several places that I have absolutely loved.
And there a few places I need to see before I start having kids and it's too late.
By far, my favorite place I have ever been is New York City.

I remember the day my little brothers and I walked through the portal and found ourselves looking out over Yankees Stadium. We went to the game early because Mom and Dad bought us special passes to take a tour of the field before the game started. So when we got there, the field was empty. It was early afternoon, and when we saw Yankees Stadium for the first time, we got a taste of heaven. The second I saw the empty field I had chills. It was a magical moment for us.
We got to walk out on the field, walk through monument park, and sit up where the announcers sit. It was one of the best days of my life.
Times Square
Awesome.
Just like in the movies.
The Statue of Liberty
Ground Zero...
is such an awesome place.
It is so crazy to stand there, knowing how many people died in that very same spot,
and knowing how many people are risking their lives because of what happened there.
The Empire State Building
Scary!
On top of that building, it feels like you can see forever.
Another one of my favorite places I've been is DiSnEyLaNd...
I love Disneyland and Huntington Beach because these are two places I have been with so many different people I love. I went there as a kid with my family,
as a senior with some of my best friends on senior trek,
as a Badgerette with some of my favorite girls in the world,
and on my honeymoon with the cutest guy in the world!
I have so many amazing memories in these places with so many of my very best friends.
Santa Monica Pier
I will never forget being a newlywed and sitting on this ferris wheel with Mackenzie.
We had such a good time on our honeymoon, and we were just so happy to finally be married!
And last but not least..
Fairview Canyon
We absolutely love Fairview Canyon.
Every year we camp there on the 24th of July,
and we have made some awesome memories up there!
The two places I am dying to go:
* Europe- I am fascinated with European history, culture, everything!
France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, London, and especially Ireland.
Mack promised me that if we don't have kids for a while,
we go on a European cruise.
I am hoping to go for my birthday this year.
*Africa- Since I was a little kid, I have had a dream to go to Africa and help poor people.
I can't even imagine a more rewarding vacation.
I have to go!

Day 4- A Habit That You Wish You Didn’t Have

My parents would want me to say popping my knuckles.
And when I'm old and have weird bumpy hands I know
I will wish I had listened.
My other bad habit is spending money.
I love pay day.
I suck at saving.
I am working on it.
:]

Day 3- A Picture of You and Your Friends

WELL... since there's another post next week that says "Another Picture of You and Your Friends," I will save some for next week too. Here are a few of our very besties!

Jordan Walker... Aka, Scrappy Coco :]

Since the day I met Mackenzie I was made aware and Jordan and Mackenzie were brothers and they always will be. And it is still true. These two can go two weeks without talking, and one of them will pick up the phone to check up on the other and make sure things are okay. They didn't know each other until they were in sixth grade, but you would think they were born next to each other. At our wedding, everyone went down the line and when they got to Jordan they just assumed he was Kenzie's brother. I remember one night I was coming through Fountain Green while Mack was at work. I ran out of gas and Jord went to the gas station, bought me gas, and came and put it in my car for me in the freezing cold. As much Jord and I have fought, he is a part of our family. And we know he would be there for us no matter what.

Amie Lee Anderson ♥

I first met Ames at Girls State the summer before our senior year of high school. She was a Templar, so of course I was quick to judge! But I soon found out that Templars weren't always so bad. We ended up being on Badgerettes together at Snow, and she was my maid of honor at my wedding. Now that she's down at SUU, I don't see here nearly enough. I love and miss this girl with all my heart!!!

Russ and Chode

Russ is one of our very best friends. My friend Dani actually set me up with this kid in high school! Haha, we went on a fun date and I kicked his butt at bowling. One day while we were all at Snow, me and Kenz had one the biggest fights we've ever had. Mack was sleeping over at Russ's, and Russ could tell somethin was up. So Russ put Mack in his truck and drove him to meet me and made us make up. Talk about a true friend!

Chode is another one of Kenz's buddies. Kenzie has always gave Chode such a hard time.. Always picking on him and playing pranks on him. Chode reminds me a lot of my little brother. Quiet and polite. I dunno how he got mixed up with these crazy boys! He is serving a mission in Washington right now... We are super proud of him!

Sadie Mae :]

One of the only girls at Juab High School I could stand!

Haha, I LOVE this girl. We have had so many good times dragging main, having sleepovers, wearing our awesome bandanas, and avoiding high school drama! She is one of the best people I know. She is gonna have a little boy next month! I can't wait to see her and Cody raise this little guy. Can't wait to meet you Brody Cole Larsen!!!

So those are a few of our awesome friends.

We really are so lucky to know such awesome people!

Day 2- The Meaning Behind Your Blog Name

... Mackenzie and Ashli: Forever and Ever ...

Our blog name actually has a lot of meaning to it. It sounds simple. But it is anything but. Two years ago we decided that we were going to get married, and we were going to do it the right way so that we could make sure we would be together forever. It wasn't an easy journey. But
on August 7th, 2009 we found ourselves at the Manti Utah Temple to get sealed together. It was easily the best day of my life, and I am so glad we were able to accomplish our goal and get married in the temple. We have been pretty big slackers lately about going to church and being the best latter day saints we can be. But I know that we will get better as we get older, and I know that no matter what, as long as we do our very best...

We will be together forever.
And that's all I could ever ask for.

YESSSSS :]

I FOUND MY CAMERA!!!!
It was under the seat of my momma's car.
So I will have new pictures up SOON :] :] :]
:]

Day 1

Haha, I started this 30 Day Experiment thing a week ago, and I'm only on Day 1 !!!! Lol, so maybe I won't update it EVERYDAY, but I will get all 30 days done :]

Day 1: A recent photo of you and
15 interesting facts about yourself...

These are two of the most recent pics of me and Quincy! :]

15 Interesting Facts About Us:

1. We met at a drill team competition in high school. We have been together for almost three years and have been married for almost a year and a half!

2. My mom and Kenz's dad both went to Grantsville High School and are only a year apart, but me and Quince didn't meet until they each had moved their families down to Juab/Sanpete Counties. So we both have lots of family in Grantsville, but went to school and met down here. Small world!!!

3. We try to at least once or twice a month go up north and go to dinner and a movie.

4. Our most favorite dinner ever: a grilled cut up chicked breast over white rice with ranch on it :] Sounds strange, but the mixture is delicious! We would eat it everyday if we could!

5. We go to Vegas EVERY year for spring break, even though we don't go to school anymore.

6. Our favorite thing we have ever bought was our 50 inch tv. We get home from work and go right to the tv to watch a movie together.

7. We both work at the same place!! We work at a residential treatment center for troubled youth. Mack is a mentor to the boys and I am the office manager. We get to come home from work knowing that we have helped other people improve their lives. It is so awesome to be able to see my hubby at work everyday. Definitely makes work more fun!

8. We put peanut M&Ms in our popcorn. Strange? Probably, but my whole family does it and now I got Quince hooked on it too!

9. We were both raised to love the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees.

10. I spend almost ALL of my spare time reading and Mack spends almost ALL of his looking at the KSL Classifieds ads.. lol what a dork.

11. Our favorite summer activity is riding our blaster through Wales Canyon over to Levan.

12. WE LOVE MT. DEW :]

13. We have the cutest little puppy in the world, and we aren't plannin on having any babies for a long long long time !

14. We fight almost everyday.. We have decided that is our favorite hobby because we fight over the dumbest stuff then we forget about it in like five seconds. I think we're too much alike.

15. We are bestest buds and we have been through a lot together. We survived the first year of marriage and I know things will keep getting better from here!!
